John McNeil Studio A studio focused on building brands through the power of creative solutions and quality execution. We believe that everything is a chance to build a brand, so we don't limit ourselves to more traditional forms of marketing communications.
When Fraenkel Gallery—one of the world’s most respected galleries and publishers of photographic works—wanted to create more ambitious catalogues in support of their shows, they tapped us for the solution. One of these projects was a commission for a catalog to accompany Katy Grannan’s show “Boulevard.” When the artist completed “The Believers,” a nine-minute film to play in conjunction with “Boulevard,” we helped her find the right screening venue: an abandoned storefront next to a mortuary at the fringe of the Valencia district in San Francisco, creating buzz and interest.
“I have to say the location itself was also very smart; Like these women... at the border between cool and crazy, hip, yuppie and workaday poor.”
