We're a team of over 120 ambitious thinkers who are focused on building brands through the power of creative solutions and the quality of their execution. We believe that everything is a chance to build a brand, and as such, we do not limit our scope of capabilities to more traditional forms of marketing communications.

As a photographer, art director, writer and director, John has worked in nearly every role afforded a creative person to solve strategic brand problems and create award-winning solutions.

Kim has been a force in advertising and graphic design for over 25 years, creating award-winning work for BMW, Agent Provocateur, Johnnie Walker, Orange, and BP among others.

Remi’s years of experience in strategy and innovation include working with clients such as Nokia, Coca Cola, Levi’s, Nike, Johnson & Johnson, and MTV.

One of the founding members of JMS, Hannah's background in art, design and film have helped define the voice of JMS. She combines her skills as an Art Director, Production Designer and Strategist to execute inspiring productions and flawless design.

Melissa has a background in art and photography and a fondness for people. With over ten years of experience managing teams and as one of the original members of JMS, she has helped guide and cultivate the studio culture while establishing best practices and policies that support a diverse community.

Passionate about culture, organizations and storytelling, Nils has shaped iconic brands like Toms and Bath & Body Works, and led marketing efforts for Microsoft, IBM and Motorola.

Gerald’s work doesn’t fit the typical advertising format. Which is why his work for brands such as Levi’s, TOMS, Dove, IBM, Google, Microsoft, and The Boys and Girls Clubs of America have garnered awards from Cannes Lions to Gold Effies to Dieline Packaging Design and American Photography awards. His work is included in the permanent collection at the V&A design museum in London.

With a B.A. from Bates College in Classics, Sarah went on to hone her storytelling skills at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, ME. She has contributed to StoryCorps, The Center for Digital Storytelling, Audio Heirlooms, and the NPR-distributed show Snap Judgment. She is passionate about uncovering narratives in the most unexpected places and uses storytelling sensibility to help clients identify real-world challenges and craft innovative solutions.

With a career spanning digital, print, animation and filmmaking, Brandon's led teams creating everything from enterprise websites to outdoor campaigns, mobile apps, broadcast commercials and video games.

With a history in coordinating substantial marketing and brand advertising efforts for global enterprises and local businesses alike, Darcy’s efficient and airtight management has transformed companies like Virgin Airlines, Callaway Golf, Sony, SFO, CA Technologies and Cisco.
How we work


It used to be simple: Companies first turned to advertising agencies for ideas, and then to production companies to bring those ideas to fruition. Not anymore. Today, brands need more than clever creative from their agency partners. They need insightful thinking driven by solid strategy that’s woven through every conceivable form of brand-building communication: from documentaries and environmental design to print ads and iPad apps.
